Getting legal the marriage way!
Dutch migration-law keeps getting stricter, not seeking for justness but
rejecting as many people as possible that are not considered
'economically valuable'. Ever more people between us find themselves
in a hopeless situation. Rejected by the IND (immigration and
naturalization department) and not being able or willing to go back to
where they were accidentally born, there’s not much choice but to live
their life in an illegalized position in the margins of Dutch society.
When the system fails we have to find our ways around it!
There is a flaw in the European law that can save lives.
While Dutch immigration policies get more restrictive every day, the
European law is somewhat less tight. This means that European non-Dutch
citizens living in Holland can relatively easy legalize someone by
‘marrying’ or ‘legally cohabiting’ for 3/5 years.
It’s easier and less invasive than you might think.
