Deported refugee now seeking asylum i NL

An Iranian asyllum-seeker, »Enayan« was deported from Denmark wednesday morning. His family, lawyer and dansih asylum-activists thougt all hop was lost for »Enayan«. But the plane to Iran was in transit in Amsterdam. Here activists managed to get to the transitarea and inform the refugee, that he had a right to seek asylum in Holland – and thereby avoiding deportation to Iran.... this time.
On tuesday asylum-activists in Copenhagen first learned, that »Enayan« was being deported to Iran.
Around 30 people, iranians and danes, gathered at the airport and blocked the chech-in zone og the flight that was going to bring »Enyan« to Teheran.
»Enyan« is a member of the oppositiongroup National Council of Resistance of Iran, and members of this organization are procecuted severely. Anne Land, »Enayans« Danish lawyer, gives an example of another refugee deported by Denmark to Iran, who had his right hand and foot amputated as punishment.
Others face imprisonment, torture and execution.
Due to the blockade and the unstable condition of »Enyayn«, the first attempt to epost »Enayan« did not work out for the Danish police. Due to all the commosion, the aircaptain refused to fly with »Enayan« a board. The drove »Enayan« back to the refugee-center and put him in an isolaion-cell.
At 9.45 wednesday he was taken to the airport once more. Activist showed up too, but the number og policeofficers made it impossible to repeat the successfull blockade from the day before.
At the same time, lawyers and other activists were trying to find another way to avoid »Enayat« ending up in Teheran. According to dutch law, any person is entitled to seek asylum on dutch soil - even if their asylum apllication had been denied in other european countries. So now the
There was no way of getting in contact with »Enyan«, who was escorted by two danish policeofficers.
But activists managed to get close to »Enyan«, who seemed drugged according to the activists. The difficult phase was, that »Enayan« would have to call attention to himself - noone else could act for him. If he was not made aware of this one chance, he would be in Iran in a matter of hours.
Lots of Iranian oppositionmembers from Holland were at the airport to protest.
And it was a close call. »Enayan« was in fact a board the plane, but was taken of again and has won precious time.
