In these times of increasing repression, the aliens from planet TOZ decided to show solidarity and organise a benefit show...
In the recent past, Amsterdam, like many other cities worldwide, has suffered a big increase of police violence and abuse of power from the powers that be. Democratic rights that used to be obvious are now not so obvious, unfortunately. Two groups right now deserve extra attention because of their efforts in supporting activists, for example in the recent affair where the major and the police invaded (mostly) squats to violently remove anti-Verdonk-banners or accuboor-terrorists...

The arrestantengroep Amsterdam (detainee group Amsterdam) offers support to leftwing activists who have been arrested. They offer information about rights and duties if you are arrested. If people organise a demonstration or action, this is the group to get in touch with. The arrestgroup makes sure that people are informed about their rights (lawyers, medication, length of arrests, etc.), and puts in all her effort to see that detainees actually can use these. Also communication with the right lawyer and the outside world is supported by the arrestantengroep. All this is run by volunteers, so give a big up to the people from the arrestantengroep!
XminusY Solidarity Fund is an independent funding organisation in the Netherlands. By providing social movements and small scale initiatives all over the world with financial support, they strive for a world based on more just economical, political and social relations. Their support helps groups and organisations here but also in the South and in Eastern Europe to set up programmes aimed at social justice and political self determination. The organisations they support often exists against all odds and are not only financially but also morally supported by their funding. XminusY's emphasis on social change means that the supported groups and organisations operate from within the margins of their own societies. Their activities are often politically sensitive and they are unable to gain the official status and recognition necessary to guarantee steady mainstream funding.
Toztizok Zoundz is an energy form concerned with stretching time and space, expanding a spectators vision. It bursts clouds of energy in the form of music and performance creating an organic environment.
The Bugbomberboy cloud is particularly dedicated to increase the bodies' nerve system's activity.
The Raaskalbomfukkerz cloud is especially concerned with brain traffic enhancement and various system structure exposures.
The Lik me rate~ cloud focusses itself on the mind's ability to focus on sound and image at the same time.
This all creates a new state of mind which will not deteriorate in between the bursts, thanks to the energy support of DJ Snor + Isonosin.
