Lost Film Fest: 7 Dec, amsterdam Verloren zoon - 07.12.2007 16:56
Can you imagine Mystery Science Theater 3000 mixed with a heavy helping of Noam Chomsky and Pee Wee Herman? Whats the Lineup for Lost Film Fest? (Please Read) The Lost Film Fest is not like every (ANY?) other film fest. “What’s playing this year?” isn’t exactly the right question. What makes LFF unique is that it’s an interactive experience incorporating storytelling with short films. I set up a laptop and video projector in the center of the room, and show movies. The event feels much like a DJ spinning records. Instead of music, there’s narration, comedy, and video clips. I add new stuff and subtract old stuff all the time to keep the program fresh. THE ANSWER TO “what’s playing?” is almost impossible to predict. The idea is that you’ll see a curated set of short clips that have a certain feel depending on the mood of the audience and what’s happening in the news. Imagine Mystery Science Theater 3000 mixed with a heavy helping of Noam Chomsky and Pee Wee Herman. Below are some films that have been programmed in the past, so you may possibly see some of these films, however I have an average of 800 clips at any time on my harddrive, which I choose from. I usually don’t create setlists in advance unless there’s a specific theme we’re going for. The spontaneity of chance is what makes Lost Film Fest unique and fun. you may not know what you’re going to see, but for sure it won’t suck.
