may 21 2008 - today in the early morning, the austrian police raided several flats, houses and storage places all over austria and arrested at least 10 people.

since the investigation is still going on and its possible that more houses will get raided, the police does not give any information to the public. the mainstream media says that the reason for the raids and the arrestments are animal right acitvities, espacially against the spopping chain "kleider bauer".
according to an article on indymedia.at the arrested are charged with paragraph 278a - criminal organisation.
another article, aswell on indymedia.at states that the arrested are charged with 31 offences against "kleider bauer".
since about 2 years animal right activists are campaigning against "kleider bauer" because of their continuous sale of fur.
