When the g20 gathered in australia, a new special police task force was deployed to deal with activists. With anti-terrorist law and press on their side, this task force holds permanent repression on activists to this day. 1 1/2 years later, 40 activists are imprisoned, on bail or are charged with high fines averaging between $20 - 30 000 from the latest courtcases. They are accused of rioting and fray (intention to start riots/violence), and public disorder. This was the result of 3 days of varied low-level violence actions against some of the world's riches countries.The g20 are dominant players in the global economy, developments in resorce markets, and gather to improve their efficiency, global financial market, the IMF and the World Bank.
The criminalisation of activists is nothing new, but our strength, solidarity and passion grows each time we take our next action.
