police van overturned (old type)
National latvian television reported that one kid, 16 years old, lost an eye. The cause is unclear but it is rumoured that the cops used rubber bullets as well, next to to being quite triggerhappy on the mace and using truncheons.
Also, national television is showing protesters the police is looking for. A lot of the protesters where rioting unmasked and drunk and caught on video-tape, some laughing into the cameras.
A bank was trashed and a liquor store looted. TV reported that 'people drank the alcohol and then threw the empty bottles at the police.'
The government is now trying to make mass-protests in the old city illegal.
The next demonstration is set for next saturday. There will also be a demonstration in Vilnius, Lithuania.
