Polisch worker exploited by Grone Flex bedrijv

Hi comrades,
Here is a very sad story of one of our friends, who was badly
exploited by a Dutch company Eurocontract and their Polish partner
Groen Flex. He felt ill because of the working conditions and the
company who hired him didn't pay his health insurance, as they should.
Now, not only is he without work, but he has to pay the medical costs
of 2318,50 Euro.
We are looking for ways to force the company to compensate him.

Our comrade Michal has signed a contract with a temp worker agency
called Groen Flex in Opole in Poland on December 12th, 2008 in order to work at
Eurocontract Zeeland B.Vz with headquarters in Goes. The contract was
for a period of 78 weeks for work in greenhouses, sorting vegetables.
The Polish and Dutch contract guaranteed health insurance starting on
December 15th.
He started working in the Netherlands on December 15th in the port of
Vlissingen. It
turned out that he was employed on a shipyard construction site
instead of sorting vegetables! But he started to work anyway, despite
the fact that he didn't receive any safety training and didn't know
English or Dutch, so he couldn't read the warning signs. He was forced
to work without protective masks cleaning ships in Middeelburg. After
exposure to the different substances in the ship he lost consciousness
and was taken to the hospital, to the cardiology department in
Vlissingen.
The bosses were notified of the event, but no one came to visit him in
the hospital. He was able to communicate with the doctors only thanks
to a Pole living in Holland. After 24 hours he was let out of the
hospital. He found himself without any more work, having worked only 6
days out of the period signed in the contract of 78 weeks! His
employers informed him that everything is ok with the hospital bill,
because he is insured. He left for Poland on January 9th.
Back in Poland, it turned out that he wasn't insured by the company.
The bill for the medical assistance of 2318,50 Euro was sent to his
home address.
Europ Assistance Polska Sp.z.o.o acting on behalf of the insurance
company S.T.U Hestia S.A informed him that they cannot refund his
treatement. It turned out that the company wasn't paying his insurance
during his stay in Holland. He called Groen Flex to clarify the issue.
They informed him that Groen Flex has nothing to do with Eurocontract
(even though they represent the company in Poland) and that he can go
to court if he wishes.
Groen Flex receives money from the Polish state to combat unemployment and
advertises in the state employment offices.

De Anarchistische Groep Amsterdam/de Vrije Bond heeft contact met de anarcho sindicalistische vakbond ZSP in polen, waar de getrofen arbeider lid van is. Wij zijn op dit moment bezig een dossier aan te leggen en meer informatie te verzamelen, zodat we direct de juiste verantwoordelijke bij de strot kunnen vatten die poen verdienen aan deze walgelijke praktijken.

Op 12 december 2008 heeft onze kamaraad Michal een contract getekend met bij het uitzendbureau Groen Flex in Opole, Polen om te gaan werken bij Eurocontract Zeeland B.V met hun hoofdvestiging in Goes. Het contract was voor een periode van 78 weken om groente te sorteren in kassen.
Het Poolse en Nederlandse contract garandeerde ziektekosteverzekering met ingang van 15 december 2008.
15 December begon hij te werken in de haven van Vlissingen. Het bleek dat hij was aangenomen op scheepswerf in plaats van groenten sorteren!
Hij begon toch te werken, ondanks dat hij geen enkele veiligheidstraining kreeg, geen nederlands of engels sprak, en dus geen enkel waarschuwingsbord kon lezen.
Hij werd gedwongen te werken zonder beschermend masker, schepen schoonmaken in Middelburg. Na te zijn bloodgesteld aan verschillende stoffen in het schip raakte Michal buiten bewustzijn en werd naar het ziekenhuis in Vlissingen gebracht, afdeling cardeologie.
De bazen werden op de hoogte gesteld van de gebeurtenissen, maar niemand kwam hem opzoeken in het ziekenhuis. De enige reden dat hij kon communiceren met de doctoren was een in Nederland wonende Pool. Na 24 uur werd Michal ontslagen uit het ziekenhuis. Maar hij bleek geen werk meer te hebben, na slechts 6 dagen te hebben gewerkt van het contract van 78 weken!
Zijn werkgevers vertelde hem dat alles ok was met de ziekenhuisrekening doordat hij verzekerd was. Op 9 januari ging hij terug naar Polen.
Terug in Polen bleek dat hij niet verzekerd was door het bedijf. De rekening van € 2316,5 voor medische bijstand werd naar zijn huisadres gestuurd.
Europ Assistance Polska Sp.z.o.o, die de zaken waarneemd voor S.T.U Hestia S.A meldde Michal dat zij de kosten voor de behandling niet kunnen terugbetalen. Het bleek dat het bedrijf zijn ziektekosten niet had betaald tijdens zijn verblijf in Nederland. Michal belde Groen Flex voor opheldering over deze zaak. Zij vertelde hem hierop dat Groen Flex niets te maken heeft met Eurocontract (ookal vertegenwoordigen ze dat bedrijf in Polen) en dat hij maar een rechtzaak moet aanspannen als hij wil.
Groen Flex krijgt geld van de Poolse staat om werkloosheid te bevechten en adverteerd in staats arbeidsbureaus.

Op de site van groenflex ( http://www.groenflex.nl) staat ook het logo van eurocontract boven elke pagina. Op hun "Wie zijn wij?" pagina staan namen en foto's van werknemers van groenflex en van eurocontract. En op hun contactpagina staan de contactgegevens van wederom zowel groenflex als eurocontract. De claim dat groenflex en eurocontract weinig met elkaar te maken zouden hebben is dus gewoon niet waar. Ze zijn duidelijk alleen in naam twee bedrijven.

Er is één eurocontract, er zijn meerdere inschrijvingen van groenflex, w.o. ook een "hotel". Als het voor deze zaak handig is wil ik graag alle inschrijvingen en bedrijfsbindingen boven water halen. Kost me wel geld, niet overdreven veel, het gaat om tientjes, maar ik doe het pas als de vraag komt.
Dit soort situaties ken ik ook van Portugezen die hier (Eindhoven e.o.) werken via Columbus uitzenbureau.

Tomorrow issue thats like usual agenda, then as main subject mobilisation for blocking the nazi demo in Dresden in Germany. We will have guests from UNITED against racism and others who are going there. Then we will have phone guests from Poland who will explain to us about Polish guy exploited by company Groen Flex and Eurocontract who didn't pay for his insurance and now after accident he have to pay his medical costs. De domeinnaam groenflex.nl staat op naam van P. Broeke, wellicht wordt daarmee bedoelt Pascal van den Broecke (Eurocontract)? Website is gehost bij http://www.pcextreme.nl/ en de domeinnaam komt binnen via firstfind.nl.. Niet dat de hoster en domeinnaamverstrekker enig blaam treft, maar dan weten we dat.. Nog een bewijs dat de twee bedrijven dus wel degelijk nauw met elkaar zijn verbonden..
Ik weet dat Indymedia geen discussieforum is, maar dit verhaal doet me erg denken aan Günther Wallraffs http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Günter_Wallraff Ik (Ali).. Het verhaal over Turkse gastarbeiders die onder erbarmelijke omstandigheden moeten werken, we zijn geen steek opgeschoten sinds de jaren '80..

dank je wel Walesa namens alle Poolse arbeiders om een sociaal systeem om zeep te helpen en te vervangen door het ascosiale kapitalistische systeem, zonder ziektekosten , slechte huisvesting, met middeleeuwse arbeidsomstandigheden en een hongerloontje.
