About the house searches in Berlin-F´hain About the house searches in Berlin-F´hain - 17.11.2009 15:07
As has already been described in other articles, a big number of cops searched the two selforganised Housing projects Liebig 14 and Liebig 34 today. This is a statement on what happened by the inhabitants of the two projects: At 3 pm cops entered both houses without any warning. As usual they didn´t make use of the bell or other ways of coming to attention; instead they used battering rams to enter the living spaces.. People who stood in their way and asked for the reason of their unannounced visit were pushed aside and then either taken outside (were their identity was checked by other cops) or locked in their rooms. When asked, they couldn´t show any search warrant (“We´ll take care of the paperwork later”). Only after the respective lawyers arrived did the situation calm down. The senior prosecutor Schwarz who personally assisted the search indicated that they were looking for the lock of a certain key that they had brought along. He stated that he only wanted to search the room with the fitting lock to that key. He further explained that he didn´t need a search warrant because this case was one of “imminent danger”. Liebig14: As far as we can tell at the moment, the cops searched the private room of someone who wasn´t at home and a commonly used office room. Besides, some cops went to the roof and threw bricks into the chimney. We assume that their aim was to keep us from safely using our ovens. Liebig34: On the other side of the street the bar “XB-Liebig” and at least two private rooms were searched and the cops also took photos of several other rooms. As there were no witnesses in the beginning either, we cannot be sure if maybe the cops checked these rooms more closely as well. The info shop “Daneben” was spared. At the same time of the searches a few hundred cops were in the streets near the two projects and as usual harassed residents, passers-by and supporters. The police action of today shows once again that we have to be prepared at any time to get hit by repression of körtings (interior minister of berlin) troop of violent people in uniform. On the background of this recent experience of violence by the state and the ongoing investigations concerning some burned cars, we urgently suggest to all those who could be of interest to the cops or to public prosecution to tidy up their rooms, apartments or whatever. Throw away stuff that gives any opportunity to Schwarz, who hates leftists and is under pressure for success, to arrest you. Take good care of yourselves and watch out for further announcements! Of course there will have to be an answer to this repression! An offensive one! also; http://de.indymedia.org/2009/11/265964.shtml Website: http:// http://engarde.blogsport.de |

For those interested check the 'Green Scare' dossier and items on USA indy. Voor diegene met interesse check ook het 'Green scare' dossier en artikelen op de US indy sites. And for the rest there was no immediate interest or importance or research they couldn't have done on any other moment without search warrent or observation so bull-shit get this case to courts and media.
