Made up evidence against arrested protesters, Greece Griekenland is Overal - 26.02.2011 11:49
On the 23d of February, a huge demo of more than 100.000 people took place in Athens along with several protests in all Greek cities. 9 people were arrested in Athens. The following link shows how the police has made up evidence against one arrested protestor In the attached link from the Greek Indymedia, you will see first the photo that was published from the police with the items that an arrested protester was supposed to be carrying. One of the items is a hammer. The same hammer appears in the photos below. These photos were taken prior to the arrest and indicate clearly that a riot policeman had the hammer in his pocket! The ladies you see in the last photos are known fascists. The pointed the young man to the riot police and they asked them to arrest him. The same ladies appear regularly in the news as 'angry citizens' of the notorious St Panteleimonas neighborhood. They are 2 of the organizers of the pogrom against immigrants in the area and they organized (as they said on tv) the attack against left-wing politicians that visited the area. During the demo, one of the immigrants on hunger strike addressed the crowd. The blond woman was seen to shout "die, dirty bastards".
