Athene: Anarchist Kostas Sakkas kan vrijkomen uit de gevangenis - er moet €30.000,- opgehaald worden voor zijn borg

Donderdag 11 juli 2013 heeft een kring van rechters besloten dat anarchist Kostas Sakkas vrij kan komen. De kameraad heeft er 38 dagen hongerstaking opzitten en bevindt zich nog steeds in het Nikaia ziekenhuis.

De beperkingen op zijn vrijlating zijn:
- een geldelijke borg van €30.000,- (hij moet dit betalen om vrij te komen)
- een beperking op het verlaten van het land
- een beperking op het verlaten van de regio Attica
- een plicht om zich elke maandag te melden bij het dichtstbijzijnde politiebureau
- een plicht om enkel te verblijven in het huis dat hij heeft aangewezen als zijn permanente verblijfplaats
- een beperking in communicatie en het ontmoeten van enige van zijn mede-verdachten in de zaak van de Conspiracy Cells of Fire (deze beperking is uitgevaardgigd ondanks het feit dat hij op het moment voor twee rechtszaken heeft voor dezelfde zaak)

Vanavond om 19:00 wordt er in de Politechnische universiteit van Athene (ingang Strounari straat) een bijeenkomst georganiseerd in solidariteit met Kostas Sakkas om geld op ge halen voor zijn zaak. Hij moet namelijk betalen om vrij te kunnen komen.

Athens: Anarchist Kostas Sakkas was ordered released from prison – 30,000 euro must be raised for his bail

On Thursday, July 11th, 2013 a council of appellate judges decided to grant the release of anarchist Kostas Sakkas. The comrade completed 38 days of hunger strike, and is still in the Nikaia hospital.

The restrictive conditions imposed are:
- a monetary bail of 30,000 euros (he must pay this amount to walk out of prison),
- a ban from leaving the country,
- a ban from leaving the region of Attica,
- an obligation to present himself every Monday at the nearest police station,
- an obligation to reside only in the home he has declared as permanent residence,
- a prohibition on communicating or meeting with any of his co-accused in the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire case (this order was imposed despite the fact that the comrade is currently standing two trials for the same case).

This evening, at 19.00, there is yet another assembly in solidarity with Kostas Sakkas in the Athens Polytechnic School (entrance from Stournari Street) to organize this large fundraising, because the comrade must pay the bail to get out of prison.
