De stedelijke vernieuwing staat al jaren in het teken van het afbreken van de sociale woningvoorraad en het uitplaatsen van huurders. In Amsterdam Oost wordt vanuit diverse plekken en groepen gestreden tegen die afbraakpolitiek maar nu zet Van der Laan zijn knokploegen in om de tegenstand uit te schakelen. Daarom is er op 30 oktober Reclaim de Buurt!
De route gaat als volgt: ’t Blijvertje – Iepenplein – Vrolikstraat – Plantanenweg - Vrolikstraat – Beukenplein – Derde Oosterparkstraat – Kastanjeplein – Vrolikstraat - Linnaeusstraat – Linnaeuskade – de Valreep.

Om 14:00 is alles begonnen, waren er voor het blijvertje enkele sprekers en gingen vervolgens alle buurtgenoten in gesprek. Het plan
14:59 De muziekwagen voorop en de mensen gaan op weg, alles loopt gesmeerd, aan gekomen bij de olmenweg.
15:09 Onderweg naar de vrolijkstraat, 3 agenten te fiets aanwezig, verloopt rustig.
15:39 Aangekomen in de vrolijkstraat, veel geïtresseerden kijken uit hun ramen. Een agent helpt mee de straat vrij te houden.
15:42 Onderweg naar de linnaeusstraat, agenten helpen de weg vrij te houden.
15:47 Bij de linnaeusstraat, toespraak door HvGO veel mensen aanwezig en maar 2 agenten.
15:55 Muziek, optocht nog altijd op de linnaeusstraat, verkeer kan gewoon door ruim 150 mensen aanwezig
16:00 Reclaim de buurt is onderweg naar de linnaeuskade
16:25 Feest voor de valreep, mensen dansen, de Beatzers spelen.
17:00 Manifestatie ten einde, voku eten & live muziek!

Your voku is the exact base of capitalism, you take something that is free and ask money for it. You almost don't exist, as activists of Amsterdam. If you walk on the streets you can't feel any "critical" presence - no political stickers, graffiti, nothing. You only organize actions for your own pride, it's a social club out there. How do you want to change the world, I wonder!? When most of you don't have the slightest idea about what is behind those red and black colors... it's just punk. You use pirate symbols as well, but.... you use the jolly roger like a bimbo uses the Playboy Bunny. She has no special thing with bunnies, she knows shit about bunnies, might eat some as well, but she likes the BRAND. Of course, some must have already started the "feminist" (anarho-, alternative-, punk-, something -, whatever-o-feminism) speech, but it is as hypocritical as all the other speeches. Anyways, I can write a book about all the stupid things I've noticed about "the activist scene of Amsterdam", but I only do this if I get payed :)) Now, I just wanted to tell you that you might as well critique yourself before criticizing "the system".
