Early morning February 19 we have taken action against one of fifteen companies from the Netherlands that are planning to take part in one of the largest arms fairs in the world, the largest in the Middle-East, the IDEX. The National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), located in Amsterdam, at 2 Anthony Fokkerweg, received lots of red paint on their doorstep and facade to symbolize the blood that they make shed, as well as broken windows to symbolize the bombings that they make themselves responsible for.
The NLR pretends to be peaceful, just as Western nations do under the guise of humanitarian interventions and lies like that. But while the NLR carries the slogan "Dedicated to innovation in aerospace", their research, development work and technical assistance presented and delivered at IDEX are acts of war no less. Shame on you! Blood on your hands!
The IDEX takes place in Abu Dhabi, one of the countries of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and starts the 22nd of February, next Sunday.
The fifteen Dutch companies, arms dealers in materials ranging from ships, armour and research to development, communication, software and more, are making their profits over the loss of lives of many. Under the leadership of the Dutch minister of defense, Hennis, this military mission aims at selling even more arms in a region plagued by conflict, where human rights mean nothing but the money made out of repression and torture.
We warn NLR, Hennis and all the other agressive warlords of the West, to not go to IDEX and quit arms trade all together.
End all warfare! This action is only the beginning of more attacks on all you merchants of death. You have to realize that if you make war, war is what you will get, right here, where you think you are safe.
In solidarity with all victims of war and repression,
Action group War on your doorstep
