C.O.S.A. at risk of Eviction.
Two days after the 15th anniversary of C.O.S.A. We received notification that a court order was initiated by the owners of the house in order to dislodge us.
For many years the owner has left a legacy of several properties to five individuals, immediate families, who now gave them the tile claim our house, having other properties abandoned. It has been given 30 days (counting from the delivery of the letter) to act a challenge, what we will do.
Since 2000, C.O.S.A. and the people involved, directly or indirectly, suffer repression by the municipal and state forces. Portugal and throughout Europe, the squat movement has been trampled and almost canceled. At this time and context, 15 years later, it makes sense continue to act and resist.
Against capital that favors real estate speculation, we will fight so that not only we keep our house, but also serve as a framework and inspiration revolt in more members.
