"Climate change is our generations biggest challenge.''
Daunting words with daunting impacts.
Too often this issue is framed through the lens of the geological consequences, ignoring the impacts and changes for communities, populations and entire societies.
During this Climate Change & Human Rights event, we will, therefore, connect environmental changes to (uneven) impacts on social life all across the world.
Filmmaker and founder of Ventana Media, Chihiro Geuzebroek, will take us on a journey in climate justice activism. Active in several organizations, including 'Code Rood', she has been engaged in public speaking on Decolonizing the Climate movement, indigenous struggles, Climate racism, and Climate & Class in both the Netherlands and at summits abroad.
The event will take place in the Metabolic Lab of Amsterdam's sustainability hub. Located in the northern part of the city, De Ceuvel started out as a workplace for social enterprises and has now become a unique space to discuss issues of sustainability.
DOES ANY OF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER SPEAKER OR OTHER INPUT? PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND COME TO THE EVENT AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS.
